Magnus Symposium Berlin 2020

The Symposium in Magnus Haus of the DPG in Berlin took place on the 1st and 2nd of October 2020. Physicists and data experts met to discuss about chances and challenges of the digitization of science for physics. The digital transformation affects entire society, for this reason we must think about new core ideas and general consequences of this process.

We were honoured to welcome Prof. Dr. Sarah Spiekermann who held the opening keynote lecture on digital ethics in development of new digital tools. Further presentations concentrated on various data types which are specific for our target groups in disciplinary and trasdisciplinary physics. Data experts elaborated on status quo of the research data management. The complete programme of our symposium can be downloaded here .
